Glutathione is a tripeptide made from three amino acids: cysteine, glutamine and glycine. Your body produces it, primarily in the liver, and uses it in two main ways. That shell is designed to protect its contents through the digestive tract and improve what actually gets absorbed. It is the reason liposomal formats cost more than standard capsules, and the reason they exist at all.

Is liposomal actually worth the extra cost?

For glutathione specifically, the absorption case is stronger than for most ingredients sold in liposomal form, because standard oral glutathione is genuinely poorly absorbed. That said, treat any "ten times more bioavailable" claim you see online with scepticism — including ours if we made it, which we have not.

Will it lighten my skin?
